Quick Weight Loss Plan
So you are pregnant, and the idea of all this weight gain that is going on with your pregnancy is not very appealing to you. Well, keep your wits about you and use your commons sense when it comes to formulating a plan to lose weight while you are pregnant. You may have gotten your hands on a quick weight loss plan and think that this is going to turn the corner for you, but forget it...those types of plans are recommended only when you are not pregnant, or after the baby is delivered. They are too much of a strain on your already hormonally whacked out system while you are pregnant, and will only do harm to you and the baby.
While you are pregnant, you should curb your eating and with the help of your doctor, monitor your weight gain during pregnancy so that you stay within the recommended limits for gaining weight and never allow your weight to balloon. That way, by following an eating plan set up by your doctor, you will get all the nutrients that both you and the new life within you need for growth and development, and you will keep your weight gain to a gradual increase that you can control.
This eating plan should fulfill all your nutritional requirements, satisfy your craving to eat often, keep your expected weight gain to a minimal level, and provide gentle exercises that you can do while your pregnancy progresses. After you deliver the baby then you can add more extensive exercises and maybe then even think about a quick weight loss plan if you really have to get rid of those excess pounds quickly for a good reason. Most of those plans are gimmicks or fads and the weight you lose in the beginning almost always comes back on after you stop the plan, so don't use them if at all possible.
Go with a gradual weight loss plan that will allow your body to get back into shape after the pregnancy is over; one with a lower calorie intake plan and a good exercise regimen to get those flabbed out abdominal muscles back in working order. When you confer with your doctor about your plans; one for while you are pregnant to keep your weight gain at a minimum; and one for after the pregnancy when you can step up the weight loss a little.....make sure you question your doctor about the whys and wherefors of the foods included and the exercises.
Make sure the diet is one you can stick to and has foods on it that you like and will eat....what good is a food plan if you won't eat the foods on it. Ask why certain foods are included and others are banned, and do the same with the exercises. Why are you doing the exercises you are required to do and what is going on in your body when you are doing them.
And remember, if you are still pregnant and daydreaming about some slinky little black number you saw hanging in the window of the department store and considering a quick weight loss plan to get into the dress; don't do it. Control yourself. Nine months isn't that long to put your ego on hold and work a sensible eating plan to get through the pregnancy and then lose the weight more rapidly, after the pregnancy is over and the baby is safely delivered.
Another factor to keep in mind: stay true to your goals and listen to your doctor. Don't give in to the criticisms of the people around you who said they heard that there was a great new plan that you could use while you were pregnant to lose a lot of weight fast so that you looked like your old self when you delivered. Don't listen to that mularkey....it will only get you in trouble, and you are endangering the life of the developing little person that is growing inside you. Your body is having a stressed out time as it is with providing for another life force as well as your own, and having to contend with all the ups and downs of hormonal swings; without subjecting it to a radical eating plan to lose weight drastically fast.
Those so called well wishers will only cause you harm in the long run. They don't mean to or do anything intentionally to harm you and the baby, they just don't know all the facts and can mislead you down the wrong path. Your main goal is a healthy pregnancy and an easy delivery of a fit and healthy baby. To reach that goal, you must stick to a gradual weight control plan with exercises included, and work hand in hand with your doctor. Stay away from a quick weight loss plan; it may seem enticing at the time, but it can be disastrous and totally unhealthy not only for you, but also for the growing baby.
