Lose Weight Quickly
We all want to look our best most of the time, and the diets are out there in full force touting us to be the best we can be by losing all that excess weight that is dragging us down. Well, it's one thing to dabble with those one week wonder diets or the fad diets when you are not pregnant because your body can handle the trauma for the most part; but whe you are pregnant, all bets are off. Everything is different. Your hormones are out of control, your weight is supposed to escalate as you are now manufacturing another living being inside you; and the idea to try to lose weight quickly in this stage of the game, is a travesty.
The first thing you should be doing when you find out you are pregnant and want to prevent a massive weight gain, is consult your doctor and follow his/her advice. Your doctor can recommend a sensible eating plan that contains the good foods that you require to keep not only yourself healthy and fit, but also the baby too. Gentle exercises will also be included in the plan, and between the two; you should be able to keep your weight gain to a minimum, and within recommended guidelines.
When the doctor discusses the plan with you, make sure you understand it thoroughly so you know why certain foods are recommended and other foods not. And note that this plan is designed for slow and steady weight gain so you do not put on a whole lot of weight at once, but it certainly is not a plan to lose weight quickly. You may wish you could be pencil thin while pregnant, but that just is not going to happen.
There may be a wonderful dress you would like to have, and the temptation to knock off a few pounds quickly seems strong and the right thing to do while you are mesmerized by the dress, but get ahold of yourself and think what harm you would be doing...not only to your health, but that of the baby also. No outfit in the world is worth doing harm like that intentionally and both of you getting sick.
If people around you are pestering you to lose a few pounds by going on this diet or that kind of a weight loss plan, ignore them. Just follow your doctor's advice and stay on the straight and narrow with your prescribed eating plan, and your exercise routine. You can keep track of what your progress is with your weight, and whether your nutrition levels are where they should be for the stage of pregnancy you are in.
People mean well, and they do not intentionally recommend things that will harm you and the baby; but they may not be tuned into what your needs are as a pregnant woman. You always need to take things slowly and steadily to have the best outcome. Don't worry about losing your svelt figure; when you are pregnant, the whole world expects that to happen.
Remember, you are carrying another living soul inside you, and that being is dependent on you for its life. Don't jeopardize that life by trying to lose weight quickly while you are pregnant; and just stick to the plan developed with your doctor and include the exercises. You will be amazed at how your weight will stay under control and how healthy you will feel; and when you deliver a healthy baby and all is well, you will be proud and happy that you stuck to your guns and was sensible about your eating plan.
