Fit Pregnancy
There is so much emphasis these days on what our figures look like, and how heavy we are; that many women will stay on a strict diet most of the time and constantly watch what they eat. This carries over into when they are pregnant as well, and the majority of women want to stay as fit as possible and stay healthy as well. Maintaining a fit pregnancy is not hard and can be done with perserverance and self control so that the 9 months are relatively uneventful and not an excess of weight is gained.
But there are a lot of women who when they become pregnant just go hog wild and start eating whatever they want, because they know that society will look the other way as they "blossom out" from overeating. The old adage of "eating for two" is heard more often, and some people just can't resist taking advantage of the pregnancy condition to eat all that wonderful stuff they have deprived themselves of in the past. And that can become an albatross around your neck when the 9 months of pigging out is over and now the baby is here, and now you have to face the music and get rid of those excess pounds.
Now the lament can be heard. Why oh why did I eat all that stuff!! It sure did taste good going down, but now bleak truth is in your face that it is time to buckle down and get busy losing weight. It makes you wish you had stayed the straight and narrow and maintained a healthy and fit pregnancy, instead of being a glutton.
But what's done, is done. You can still lose the weight without too much pain if you follow a sensible eating plan after the baby arrives; or even before that if lo and behold you happen to get "tired" of eating so many forbidden foods and you are "over" the gluttony.
But don't give up hope. Consult your doctor because he can get you on the path to a fit pregnancy without too much ado, and can lay out a sensible eating and fitness plan that will fit into your lifestyle and be easy to follow so you will stick to it. That is the number one factor in any successful fitness plan, to be able to stick to it. It doesn't do you any good if you have a wonderful plan, but it tanks because you just cannot or will not follow it and throw it in the trash after just a week or so.
But remember too, that there are other factors that are considered taboo to you when you are pregnant and want to remain fit and healthy for both you and the baby. Two of these are tobacco and alcohol. Neither one is allowed for obvious reasons, and your use of both of them should cease immediately now that you are pregnant.
Also, a gentle exercise plan is included in this workable fitness program that will complement the diet you are on as well as the way your lifestyle functions, and of course, the condition you are in physically. Now that you have another life growing inside you, it is imperative that you ascribe to a sensible eating plan so that both you and the baby get all the nutrients you both need to grow and stay healthy. This is especially true for the baby when he is in the initial developing stages and so much growing and developing is going on....he needs as much nutritional help as he can get, and you are the sole provider of that.
Then too, having a fit pregnancy means that you gain weight at a sensible rate, and your doctor will help you with this too. There are weight gain boundaries you must remain within that have been predetermined as a scale for average weight gain during pregnancy. Your doctor will monitor this and recommend the weight range you should stay inside of for optimum health.
There are many factors that need to be addressed by you and your doctor when you are pregnant, to make sure that your pregnancy is as healthy as it can possibly be, and as uncomplicated as possible. You may have to rearrange your schedule a little, but in the long run, all this trouble is worth it and the end result is terrific. You will remain healthy and fit, and your baby will be born healthy and fit as well and all this is because you took the time to take care of yourself during pregnancy. What more could you ask for.
